Anonymous Friends

Today, my group (Yi'an, Criss, Yin Min, Xuan Kai and myself) visited both Mr Lin and Mr Tay.

We arrived at Mr Lin's place just to know that he will be going out soon.
Although he told us that his place doesn't need cleaning, we proceeded anyway.
We did the usual chores like sweeping, mopping and cleaning the windows.

Afterwards, we visited Mr Tay and accompanied him to the coffeeshop to have his
usual buttercino. We noticed that he is happier and more cheerful than usual. He also
talked to us more than he did previously and we were glad to see him so happy.
During the coffee session, the volunteers did some clay sculptures.
In addition, Mr Tay finished his coffee for today!

Overall, it was a simple yet meaningful day of visit.
Sometimes I am thinking, we are just like anonymous friends to our elderly, in the sense
that they may not remember each and everyone of us... But we are their friends who will
be there to help them (even if they might not remember all our names and faces...)
But regardless if they do remember us or not, they will always be part of the reason
that our saturday mornings are spent fruitfully:)
